Corrour - Beinn na Lap, Sgor Gaibhre and Carn Dearg 20 Sept 2014
A fine sunny day with clear weather and a northerly breeze, and a train ride first to the isolated station at Corrour by Loch Ossian. First target was Beinn na Lap, a gentle pull onto the summit ridge with stunning views to Glencoe, the Mamores, Grey Corries and Ben Nevis. The cairn at 3,074' provided an amazing panorama. Dropping down to Loch Ossian gave a sunny waterside spot for lunch, then a steep pull up the slopes to the SE to the ridge and the second Munro of the day, Sgor Gaibhre at 3,133', with amazing views to Ben Alder and across to Schiehallion. Finally, on to Carn Dearg to the west, cairn at 3,087', and we then dropped down to the Loch and were back at the station with an hour to spare......the cafe was unfortunately closed! Munro total 145.
