Maoile Lunndaidh 16 Nov 2014

An enjoyable walk from Strathfarrar along the edge of Loch Monar, then up lower slopes, avoiding most of the wet bogs, to the eastern end of the Maoile Lunndaidh ridge. Then an ascent along the ridge, with intermittent sunshine breaking through the cloud, and no wind at all. We reached the cairn on the plateau and were rewarded with stunning views west to Fisherfield and Torridon, and southwest to the Cuillin ridge. Summit height is 3,304' so an excellent viewpoint. As we returned the cloud rolled in from the east and there was intermittent light drizzle, so a bonus to get a summit view. Munro total 146.
