A change of plan on the 4000 Challenge as we had to turn round on our attempt to reach the Cairngorm plateau, due to storm force winds. We diverted to a lower Munro on the eastern side of the Cairngorms, Bynack More, a pleasant walk starting in the Abernethy Forest at Glenmore Lodge, via Ryvoan bothy, then heading up heathery slopes to climb the east ridge to the summit at 3,576'. Patchy shower cloud with good views to the main plateau, and east towards Deeside. My fiftieth Munro !
